I got a buddy who has the flatline. I don't personally see the need for one in the types of games I play (speedball) but in woodsball they can be of some use. I started out with a tippman 98c btw.

I have played a few times, rental Tippman 98, need to buy my own gun and play more often. It's an absolute blast.

BruiserStock, it sucks, but it was cheap. A good gun to have for friends to use.

Black Magic Auto****erStock - It doesn't really need any mods. I may do a trigger job later, but I want to see if it performs well as is. I have yet to break this one in. I had two Compressed air tanks blow their burst discs and I refuse to run it on CO2. I guess you get what you pay for...my tank was free with the gun. I'll probably get the WGP 70ci compressed air tank later.

BTW, anyone see those new VF-Tactical Auto****ers? It's not really much different than my Black Magic or the Orracle in function, but the camo splash looks great and the accessory rail would be fun. Laser sight anyone? It's also nice that the accessor rail provides a good measure of protection for the front block and the pnuematics.

my ****er is also stock. This sensoring is wayy to strict, I can't even talk about my paintball gun. I've seen the vf tactical. For the price I would buy an 03 VF and get it annodized that color. I'm goin to play some indoor 'sup air ball this sat. It's my new addiction!

I plan on forming either a 3 man or 5 man team. We performed well in our first tournament, and all of us play regularly. We also are all using high end markers so we're set up and ready to play

I played a LOT in highschool, a couple tourneys and stuff like that too. All my markers are sold now, but I've had em all:

-F4 Illustrator- POS. I broke the grip off after a month...-Spyder (3) - Nathan has one of em now! all C02-Automag (the teflon one) C02-Minimag/All american barrel, etc some other goodies, on C02-4 Auto****ers, each with their own different things... all of them had rock regs and dye barrels though, 3 on Nitrogen-Shocker select fire/turbo - C02, All American Barrel... the most fun one I had

I donno I think I really just enjoyed the equipment more than anything else.. It was fun to play though for sure. I was always buying and selling my parts though (as you could see), and as a result my markers were always down and out. Got tired of having to spend $30-$40 a day to play also.

..course 30-40 a day aint nothin compared to what I'm spendin on this damn car.. lol

I really would like to get another Auto****er and play again though, that would definetly be fun

never played any tournaments..., i didn't really like the overinflated "competativeness" (sp?).

played alot back then...2-3 times a week. Now my marker (gun) is collecting dust in my closet...mainly because i can't afford to play and buy parts for my car/bike at the same time.

I see we have a few with E-Triggers. I suppose there is nothing wrong with that, but I tend to like the mechanics of a more traditional marker.

And as long as we are talking paintball, lets throw in preferences. I prefer Nitrogen/Compressed air. No need to run expansion chambers, no frozen seals, great consistency, ability to run low pressure guns if you set up the gun right, much easier to adjust to changing environment, and with the fiber wrapped tanks, is lighter(tank is lighter and CO2 is stored as a liquid so it has more weight).

Also prefer the closed bolt set-up of the auto****ers.

I loved everything about the auto****er. On nitrogen it was even better. It seriously just felt the best out of all of the markers I had, and it was by FAR the most accurate. All kinds of different options like low pressure, co2 or nitrogen, whatever you wanted to do. ...And I was pretty good at tuning them too...

I agree with everything you said c-kwik... although I have to say, the turbo fire on the shocker was really really cool, despite my preference for the mechanical triggers on other markers.

I used to play every week last semester with my friends, we are trying to work our schedules out right to start playing again now. I have a spyder xtra (one of fiznats!) with a smart parts progressive barrel, single finger trigger modification (dremel tool yo!) and running on just plain C02, its perfect for what I do with it :D I especially love my little one finger trigger modification, it makes it much easier to hold onto, easier to shoot etc. I really dont understand the double finger triggers at all, they are less accurate imo because it's harder to aim and shoot the gun, especially one handed if the need ever arises.

I just play a little woodsball at my friends field. We got bunkers and towers and some other crap built... His uncle who runs it... Is big on the scenario battles so we do a lot of those. They're pretty fun though. I'm not too good though, much better at tactical FP shooters LoL. I got a Tippy 98c with a Lapco barrel, dropforward and the side bolt moved to the rear. Got a expansion chamber but I usually run air anyway. 12v hopper and a response trigger. I'm thinkin of gettin an electronic marker but its definitely not easy to fund multiple hobbies... I snowboard as well and I have some expensive bad habits..

EDIT: that didn't sound too good like that, I just meant smoking. Everyone relax.EDIT2: hobby list=240sx,420thc,paintball,XBOXlive and online PC games(rarely now),random netsurfing, (toomuch) snowboardin, (Not as much as I'd like) skateboarding is gettin rarer as I get older. Only go skate like 3-5 a year at most. Its pretty much just sad now when I go, doing old school sheet like pressure flips and no-complys and blunt slides. Sorry to rant but thats what old people do right?

I've got a Custom 98, R/T trigger, Richochet AK hopper, J & J 14" Ceramic barrel, X-chamber, polished internals...think that's about it.

Also an old school PG-1 semi-auto (all steel, heavy!) and a PGP2 pump pistol.

I only play woods-ball, no tourneys for me. And I don't really play too much anymore, just no time or $$ to do it. Chances are I'll give away my cappers to my friends in the next few months.

Running Nitro/compressed air on any gun will make it perform more consistantly. CO2 is just too sensitive to too many things. The only thing that is good is that it's self regulating. CO2 converts from a liquid to a gas at right around 800 psi. Keeps the tanks cheap. But the liquid to gas conversion is also it's biggest fault.

Double triggers were conceived with the idea that the middle finger can pull the trigger faster than the index finger. It shouldn't affect accuracy if you are holding your gun correctly, either by cradling it against your lower arm, or if you have a stock, against your shoulder. Your trigger hand should not be supporting the weight of the marker at all. It only needs to help secure the gun against your body or shoulder. And even then it should only be minimal as you want your trigger hand to be somewhat relaxed.

You should not be shooting one handed. Even pistols should be held with two hands. One accurate shot is much more deadly then several poorly placed shots. And this holds true, probably even more with paintball markers. They are heavier and bulkier than pistols. Not to mention they are not as accurate.

I havent played in about two years. Still consider my self a player.

Sold my gear except for an old spider compact I had for a back up marker. Used a modifed Tippman Carbine. 16 inch Armson barrell, .45 grip, double trigger, bottom line, and expansion chamber. Nothing fancy.

I am trying to get my team back together. Looking to get a Tippmann A-5 with flatline barrell. Maybe an electronic trigger assembly, but that is about it. It cost to darn much to do much more than that.

Just dont see myself buying an Angel and an N2 system.

My friends and I started playing back in 97 or 98. Didn't get out to the fields too often. No tournaments just local fields and back woods play.

Wow, I think that's the first Automag mentioned in this thread. Good guns. Light and simple. Though they are very sensitive to liquid CO2. I stil prefer the closed bolt Auto****ers though.

Its a kickass gun, it only freezes when you point the gun downwards and fire really fast. I was trying to remove the valve, and it wouldn't come out. So, I let this huge guy try, he pulls really hard. Then hes like, "Oh wait, the saftey is on" So I bet something got bent, thats why it doesn't fire sometimes. Very reliable though
