None. But a lot of 1997-2001 Q45 owners are confused and think they own a Y33 rather than an FGY33.

Didn't know about that one. Funny there are none here at NICO, but if they are all reduced to Very Impaired Performance curb ornaments, that would explain why.

"HIPPOSLEEK" kind of says it all, doesn't it?

talk all the dumb s**t you want, you still opened your mouth without knowing wtf you were talking about... as usual. maybe if there was a registry in the fsm you'd have stood a chance, or maybe if you could have said "search for *'s thread". let's keep it to information regurgitation since you aren't really good for any thing else.

You do know that VIP is actually a word and not an acronym, right? And the pic that was posted is a member as stated before; also listed as his VEHICLE. Wow. For someone who preaches "Read" and "Search" all the time, you suck at that game.

*EDIT* AND you guys live in the same state.

Haters gonna hate! Not everyone will like this style and that's ok. Some people are jus to ignorant and will only stay or like that one style that they are in and won't accept other styles. But I always say, thanks! I could use more haters on my team, lets me keep doin what I do!

We have a separate VIP forum here for your pavement-scraping shenanigans.

The car itself looks very very clean.

No, apparently not.

I was trying to be polite by suggesting that you post VIP-related content in the VIP forum to avoid being criticized by people who don't agree with that kind of modification.

Brian might be a consistently cranky, obnoxious a-hole, but in this case he's right.

No he's not. He said there were "none." All other points after that are irrelavent.

apparently you need it broke down:

the op asked "any other cedrics in the us". the cedric is a y33 variant so questions regarding it obviously belong in the cima/q section.

he did not ask about vip styled cedrics, he asked about cedrics.

and just for the record, a car is not vip because of the make/model. a car is not vip because it is dropped. a car is not vip because is has big blingy wheels. a car is vip when it completely fufills a set of loose guidelines to accomplish an overall look. stop trying to send everything that is modified to the vip section.

you are watering down the style because the people that you send into the vip section mistakingly think you know what you are talking about. when they get into the vip section they realize that we don't want them as they are in 99% of the cases. some are willing to learn but most just get a bad attitude, and why shouldn't they? some idiot told them they belonged in the vip section and when they got there someone who actually knew what they were talking about sent them packing.

what may look the same to you is in fact very different. we are mimicking a style that has been around nearly as long as the q itself and the true vip enthusiasts struggle constantly to keep vip in the u.s. true to it's japanese roots.

a q45 is a q45 (yes, this includes cimas/presidents/<y34 cedrics and glorias) and therefore is at home in the q45 section. unless you know wtf you are talking about you should just let them be because they definitely belong here regardless of styling. chances of them just happening to fit in the vip section are slim to none. if they did they would already know what's up and be there. vip is not something you slip, fall into, and get right.

if you're gonna be an a** at least be a right a**. arrogance and ignorance do not mix well.

I hate being "that guy" but you communicate like a 7th grade dropout. When I view your posts, its as if I'm reading the script for 2Fast2Furious.

If you have dyslexia or a learning disability, I hope you're being treated. If English is your second language, I as an immigrant can empathize. I don't meant to insult you if you are overcoming a disadvantage.

Otherwise, there is no excuse. This is the Q45 forum, not 240 General. In the six or more years that NICO has existed, this is one part of the site that has been a source of deep technical knowledge and maturity. I created Q45.org years ago to organize all of the good information that the experienced members here have collected.

As for VIP styling, the separate forum was created for a reason -- to separate those who want to improve or maintain the performance of their cars from those who want to make them look like rap video cars.

I'm sorry Brian is an a-hole, and I hope your ego isn't so fragile that a man from Texas can destroy it over the internet. I hope I've helped explain things to you.

I don't know why you insist on getting approval from people you will never get approval from. Is it because some of us are older (I'm only 27) and you're looking for some kind of paternal acceptance?

This right here proves how ignorant and dumb you really are!

Right now, you're jus some random mofo running his mouth and stickin up for his boyfriend. Bottom line talk is cheap. So keep runnin your mouth. You say your 27yo but you sound like a 7th grade dropout like me!

Oh man, this is a great forum!

first off, i'm older than you.

secondly, i'm not looking for acceptance, i'm correcting false statements.

you don't have to like it to respect it, and that's where a certain couple seem to fall drastically short.

as long as people are condescending and wrong i will continue to correct them in an equally disrespectful way. at the end of the day, i won't like them, they won't like me, but the facts will be straight. acceptance is the last thing on my mind.

your off-topic-ness is truly impressive. in the breath right before you accused me of looking for acceptance you managed to run down quite an impressive list of irrelevant accomplishments.
Jesda wrote:As for VIP styling, the separate forum was created for a reason -- to separate those who want to improve or maintain the performance of their cars from those who want to make them look like rap video cars.
ok. one more time: the op wanted to know if there were any other cedrics in the u.s.

what if a member of the oem klan owned a cedric? what if the op posted it in the vip section? would a nissan nazi have seen it? what if he had a cedric specific technical question? would he have got an answer?

lmao @ "rap video cars". i really don't know why you guys speak on something you know nothing about. does a zenki g50 look kinda like a 745? sure. is it a 745? not at all.

vip is not a generic term, it is a very specific style. if the section were named "show cars" then you would be right. it is not, so you are not.

Internet argument!

Let me explain the conflict that seems to repeat itself on this forum. Urban/VIP style guys come here, show off their cars, and get angry when others disapprove.

NICO creates a separate area for them so they can share modifications and avoid being harassed by folks who remind them about safety and handling.

They continue to come here expecting praise for a style that few here care for or appreciate. That will never happen. Why go where you are not wanted? There's lots of forums and clubs out there full of like-minded people that share your view. The Q45-specific forum of NICO is, for the most part, not one of those.

now let me explain the other p.o.v.:

1) there are cedrics in the u.s.

2) vip is relevant in this thread no where. it was brought in as a flailing insult by someone who was trying to compensate for being wrong.

3) just like you don't want certain types of posts in the q45 section, we don't want certain types of posts in the vip section. we do have our own forums, but as long as there is a vip section on nico it will be policed by those truly involved in the style. we face the same issues you do, except our style is so much more specific than your make/model. the vip section is used as a dump for all non-technical info, but most of the crap you unload belongs less in vip than it does in q45.

q45 = non-specified topics pertaining to a model of infinitivip = a very specific style

a q45 is a q45, and not necessarily vip. a vip q45 is both a q45 and vip. if one of us has to take up the slack it should obviously be the generic vs. the specific.

granted, there are a couple idiots who use the q45 section and associate themselve's with vip. more often there are idiots who do not know anything about vip, don't like what they see, and direct something to the vip section that does not belong.

i'm sure this will fall on deaf ears, but if you are actually concerned with being right rather than just getting your way you will see my points are valid.

btw, q45.org is a great site and i have used it for the technical info many times, as have i used the q45 forum appropriately.

Speaking for my self, I'm in no way angry and if you don't like my car or dissaprove of the style than that's fine to me. Can't please everybody. Nico is kinda like my job here at SNAP ON. A whole bunch of old mechanics who only car about how the car runs and not how it looks, which is ok, cause we will all at some point need the useful information to help us fix our cars and keep them running for years to come.

As far as safety, thanks for your concern and caring but most of us are aware of what safety issues we are pushing that's why we share the information w/ others and keep safety issues under precautions.

You're right, there are other forums for these types of cars and don't worry most of us are on there as well! Hahahaha. For myself, I signed up to NICO, for all the great information a can learn and obtain that I can't get from anyother forum. What better place to get info and tips on how to keep your car running than from a bunch of Nissan/Q45 mechanics.

I wouldn't even be in this section of this forum but I was jus answering the question of "Any other Y33 Cedrics in the" US. Then your boy wanted to make a childish comment about VIP which normally wouldn't bother me and I apologize for getting my attention because I could really careless, but homie seems like he's got his own set of issues going on and I wanted to see what that was all about.

You on the other hand, need to calm down!

I respect yours and everyones opinions and advice here, negative and postive. If you don't like my car or VIPstyling for that matter than that's fine w/ me. You have that right.

All I'm sayin is "Can't...can't we all jus get along"

These post are all way off topic to begin w/ anyways....
