Wanted to know if there's any system or vaccum lines that you could plug up or take out like the AIV system? Any thing that would increase the performance of the car or make the car run better? I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx. Is this SOHC worth modding? Or just save up for SR20DET and just make the car run well. One thing is funny is that the odometer says 111,510 but on carfax.com it says in 2002 the car was emission tested with 176,000. What is going on?

Either a roll back of the odometer or they swapped the odometers out with a lower milage car.

You can take out the AIV, plug up the vacuum lines and the new holes in the intake and exhaust.

The rest of the vacuum lines are needed.

sorry to jack-thread, but it may be related...

how about that big hose comin' off the valve cover & into the throttle body intake hose... looks like a size 3/4" heater hose.i'm thinkin' that u can just put a breather filter on it & use a heater hose cap on the throttle body end.

guessing that this will reduce the amount of "dirty air" goin into the throttle body/ thus keepin the throttle body valve & the swirl valves from gettin dirty... some1 confirm this???

I was lazy & just disconnected the AIV hose from the airbox, plug the box-end, & use a breather filter on the AIV system.
