Hi All,

My budy is a proffessional welder, and I was talking with him about making some exhaust manifold for a t3/t4 turbos, he said that he can make them, but he will charge around $550 Canadian which is equivelant to $400US dollars, if you guys are interested, I will get him to make one, take some pics, and I already talked with him, and his price is negotiable if we do a group buy.I have seen some of his work and it is awesome.

Also, let me know if you want an external waste gate on it. price is the same with or without a wastgate.

Let me know,

Cool, I will tell him to make me one and i will post some pics for it here, if you need to add any more info or input on how do you guys would like the manifold look, please post, for example "iliketocrach" wants equal runners, so let me know if you want any specific setting.

Thank you,

Could you make it a top mount manifold? and would it be offered in a polished look style?

top mount with a spot for a 38mm tial wastegate. that would be perfect. also, can he do other than just ones for t3/t4? like gt series, etc?

He can do any thing with metal, as long as you give me the dimentions of the flange, he will do it.

i bought a downpipe not thinking that it may not be able to work with my T3/T4 thats why i think i got to get mine specially made so it can line up, also i got a RHD so clearance isnt the issue for me like it is for you guys :)

i completely forgot about the clearance... oops.. umm yeah. I hope that last exhaust mani you showed isn't the only way to contruct an equal length mani... cause then i'd have to stick with a log-type one probably.. that's crappy :(

i am thinking of going the log style too... or the one like thishttp://www.bezman.com/manifolds/srmanifold.jpg

http://www.jgstools.com sells the log kits, not for the CA though... but i think one of these kits, and a head flange and you'll be set.

ok thinking about this, JGSTools.com doesnot carry the CA18 exhaust flange so here is the deal, unless someone has access to measure the port spacing and port size fo the GA16, KA24, SR20 even the RB26 to see if they match up with the CA port size and spacing, we could buy just the flange from the GA or KA and cut and rotate the flange pieces to bolt onto the CA18 head (i think new holes may need to be drilled in the flange)

or even better if we can get an undrilled flange, cut it up, lign it up with the ports, so we can drill out our CA18 exhaust head bolt pattern into the flange pieces.

THEN just buy all the bends neccesary, isee that they have the "T" and 90* bends...

and the flanges needed -

I am thinking of getting one flange, 4x90* bends (two for the manifold and one for wastegate, and well one spare), 2x"T" (for cylinders 2&3 runners), radius plate for turbo, one T3 flange.

even thinking of getting the T3 turbine housing from a Grand National (same specs as my T3) just that i has a port for the Turbonetics Deltagate so that it bolts right up onto the turbine housing... that way i can use the three bolt flange for the manifold, and not need to port a wastegate off the log manifold, and get better flow from the manifold...

here is a pic of the GN T3 turbine housing from Turbonetics:

I really think i am going to go this route the more and more i think about it... i think i may do some drawings or even a 3d model if i find the time... let you guys better understand my madness..'

You should be able to do that comparison by just getting a hold of the exhaust manifold gaskets for the different engines. They are usually pretty accurate with regard to port spacing.

i'm very interested in a manifold with a t3 flange cuz I think I might sell the IHI one and my custom mani and get one of those. If he could make a manifold almost exactly like the first picture of that top mount one, that would be awesome. Of course I'd like to see pics. Also, how soon can this be done? I kinda need it fast, lol.

IM me to talk details on Two4zeroSXTURBO

Thanks!-Ian

one day!!! that would be awesome!!!! damn, now you got me all excited. You can get t3 flanges online all over the place so a store could probably get you the dimensions. Oh and for an idea....Could he make all for equal-length runners go to the turbo with a flange for a TIAL 38mm wastegate built into the runner. Or possiby exactly like the one in the pic with an HKS Wastegate flange.

LET ME KNOW!! -Ian :ylsuper
