As in the title , Any one install the INJEN CAI on the M45 and I mean just a CAI without any other mods and gain hp ??

in the web sites they say that it's gain up to 13 hp more

Plz I want an answer from aperson who had an experience

in my opinion I don't think that INJEN will make a CAI & after that it's make loss in power , If its like this so why they made it & bother them selfs

but maybe the problem of lossing power due to installing an exhaust AND CAI together

regards

It does look cool doesnt it?Too bad there have been no reports of actual power increases by adding this CAI kit. The only reports given state it looks really nice under the hood and it sounds cool under hard acceleration. Unfortunately, that's about all your going to get from it. Maybe someone else will have another take on it.....Just reporting back what I've heard and read.

got that exact set up on mine as the only mod. Looks sharp and sounds ok but I have noticed no change whatsoever in performance.

No loss in performance at all ??

and how many km do you drive with the CAI ??

my freind had a Holden Commodore LS1 , and he install a short ram air and notice a little power after 120 km/h

can you post a clip for your acceleration with the CAI ?? to hight speeds ?

Yes it's Cool & Sharp

I think that if you install it a lone & give the ECU a little time to recognise the change in the Air coming to the engine , you will notice a little power at high speed

thanks 4 passing

wow ken in AZ was right; look at the Injen intake; you can see from the pics that the intake slims down from a 3.5" to a 3" right where the MAF is. no wonder there is no gain in power.

I don't think it looses flow because it necks down, I just think it causes turbulence that causes the MAF it have trouble reading an accurate mass of air.
