any one install an amp in the cargo space under carpet?

Trying to plan out some type of audio install. I just put in a kenwood x891 in my 04 pathfinder tonight and with no suprise, the head units awesome and the bose is complete garbage. So i'll be re wireing it all shortly.

Curious though, has anyone used the cargo spot under the carpet for their amp? any over heating problems or melting plastic with the small space? Trying to find pictures or some type of other opinions. its killin me not to put a sub in here but trying to get away from crazy audio set ups and keep all my cargo space free.

Any place that does not have good ventilation is usually bad for amps. What about under a seat somewhere?
