any one done a diy grounding kit

i have seen the grounding kits but they are expensive to buy has any one made one themselfs or know what all to ground and what to ground it on for a s13 sr20det in a 240sx

Its not that much too it its just wires spider webbed through out the engine bay

Find good connections for everything and find a main grounding point on your chassis and have one connected to the battery

what should all be grounded to the main grounding point

I tried it once to see if there'd be anything noticeable. IIRC, I went from the battery, to the strut tower, to the intake manifold, to the other side of the head, to the firewall, and to the other strut towerbar. I based it off my brother in laws. He actually bought the kit. I didn't notice anything and later took it off because it kept getting in the way when I worked under the hood.

i ran ground cables on my old KA same places he had stated and it made cold weather starts so much easier

Every car's electrical system is going to be different. Especially since these are nearly 2 decade old cars. It wouldn't hurt to try out, but it didn't make any noticeable change for me.
