Got a 20" Z Custom Power Ride, and looking for something a little towards the medium thin size. Preferably an Avedis Zildjian series 20" ride.

I'll trade even up or will trade with a little bit of cash. Lemme know what you got if you are interested.

Mike, I'm not trying to sell, I am trying to trade. I need a lighter, sweeter sounding ride, not a muffler. But thanks for the offer...lol

if you play hard enough that youd worry about breaking k series (which from what you told me you would be), look into A custom, nicer sound than A zildjian but same durability

Z customs have always been the cymbal for rock but A customs sound SOOOO much better and i havent broken one yet, oldest one ive got ive had for 5 years or so

A custom projection crashes, best crashes period imo, ive got a 17 and 18 and plan on getting more of them for sure

not looking to trade though, sorry unless you want some sheet bronze stuff ive got around for cheap, might still be lighter sound than your Z custom stuff

Nah, I like the sounds of the A Zlidjian over just about every other ride other than a K, but I can't afford a K. The A Customs are a nice sound, just not exactly what I am looking for. When I ordered my cymbals, I went with a Z Custom power ride without ever hearing one, only on it's advertised heftiness. I regret the hell out of it now. Should have went with what I was familiar with.

you haven't played the muffler yet. The can might have a nice ride with a defined ping on the tip

are there any huge music retailers over there similar to a guitar center or sam ash where you can try stuff out before you buy it?

first time i heard z customs i knew they werent for me, sure theyll last a lifetime but id rather sound quality and having to replace cymbals every 5 years

what do you have for crashes and your hats? was the ride the only z custom you played?

My crashes are: 18 and 17 Z custom Rock Crashes, 16, 17 A Zildjian Medium Thin crashes. Hats are 13 Quick Beats.

I have the Z custom crashes because my band plays some pretty hard stuff, and they just have great projection and sustain to them. Plus I hit pretty hard on those. They are also used because my set is the house set, and those stay up when I tear down for other bands to use the drums.

The medium thins are used for more dynamic stuff where I don't need to hit so hard.

And no, most of the music shops over here will only yet you tap a cymbal with a stick, not actually hit it to hear it's real tone. Plus, Zildjian are way overpriced over here. When I order through my hometown music shop, I get cymbals at about $5 bucks over cost.

yeah that makes sense if theyre used for everybody

prices have gone up overall quite a ways too, when i was in to get those headphones 2 weeks ago i just happened to glance, and my A custom projection crashes had gone up like $80 since i got them 2 years ago...all cymbals are looking like this, so its going to be a little more difficult to get what more cymbals anytime soon

the Zildian site has sound files to help you narrow it down.

Trust me when I say this.

Those sound files sound nothing like hearing it in person with a real stick. You lose something in recording cymbal sounds.
