Any New News on SL Convenience Pkg WITH ABS?

Has anyone been able to get or order the SL w/ Convenience Pkg AND ABS brakes?

My dealer said it would be three months or longer before he could get me one—he showed me his order and allocation sheet—so I'm buying a loaded SL without ABS that already was in transit to the dealer. ABS should be standard on the Versa (and all cars), but Nissan is trying to maintain the car's low price point. However, it seems ludicrous to me that now you can get all other options except ABS.

Legislation should be passed that would make it illegal to sell a safety feature as an option. All safety features should be standard. Not too long ago, dual air bags were an option in some cars. Side curtain and impact bags are still options on some vehicles. ABS could easily be calculated into the MSRP and in the Versa, the MSRP wouldn't jump much.

In 2000, Congress passed the Tred Act which mandated TPMS in all new cars from 2008 on. Automakers tried but failed to stop the legislation from passing. They knew they couldn't overprice the option and sell it.

Weren't you supposed to get that car last week?

Did you order at Hummels? Or somewhere else? I bought mine from Jordan in Ames, but because no one was going to deal on one anyway. That was in early July right at release. When we bought our 06 Quest in June, we got it way cheaper at Hummels. Did you get a discount.

When I got my V, you could only get the convenience package. The audio and ABS packages weren't even available yet.

The car is delayed for some unknown reason; it's on a truck somewhere. It was due 10/4, and then got changed to 10/9. As of an hour ago, it's still not here.
