Any mod suggestions for my 2017 QX50

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello everyone so I recently got a 2017 QX50 and I am itching to modify it in anyway shape or form. I know there isn't much aftermarket for this car but I still really like it. I have changed all Exterior LEDs and Interior LEDs, tinted my windows, changed some interior knobs on radio, ordered new mats. I can't really think of anything else to do. Anyone know where I can find some accessories for this car? Maybe some stuff that will be cross compatible with like a EX35 or G37? Open to any options, thanks for any help.

Hi I have a 2016 Infiniti qx50 awd. I have some mods to it. This is what I have. For the suspension parts I have a Cusco strut bar for the front. For the rear I have the Cusco rear power bar that connects to rear control arms and soul function bar that connects to the sub frame. Also have the ultra racing brace bar that replaces the flimsy stock bar by the y pipe.(it’s just a stronger bar that adds a more rigidity to the chassis. With this set up the rear feels more solid and the handling is a bit better. For the engine I have silicone air intake hoses with dry performance air filters. Next on my list is a Megan exhaust(they seem to be affordable and they will fit our vehicles. They sound pretty nice too. Any catback exhaust(muffler only)from a g37 coupe will fit. Also would like to get sway bars to improve handling. Some stuff from the g37 will fit our cars with research. I researched a lot and fitted these mods with no problems. They don’t say that mods fit the qx50 some of them do. There is many of other performance parts that will fit our cars from the g37.

I don’t plan doing anything visual. If I did anything I would put aftermarket 19” wheels on. Our Infiniti qx50 is similar/same to the Japanese market Nissan 370gt crossover. Body # known as j50 2wd and nj50 awd. The Japanese Nissan 370gt came with some Pkg with ground effects. Maybe if anybody wants to upgrade to the ground effects can import some from Japan. Those nissans 370gt’s look awesome. To update to my mods I think iam going to go with the aftermarket Infiniti sport muffler ( actually from Infiniti it doesn’t come stock on any Infiniti). This muffler is a Infiniti performance only product. Sounds real nice. I also just received the Megan racing lower h brace. I hope it will fit. Looks like it will . I was researching this part. Fits g37’s and Nissan 370Z.(our crossovers are very similar). Also very soon I will buy either the hotchkis sway bars or Cusco USA. Not sure which brand yet.

Update on the qx50. I finally got the Infiniti sport muffler(b0100-1ng26) and I went with the hotchkis swaybars frt and rear.(22443). Everything installed. All with a perfect fit. The rear splash guards needs either longer bolts or some washers to clear the zerk fittings. The muffler has a nice growl to it when pushed and it’s mild. The way I like it. The crossover feels tight with the swaybars. I will have to take a drive to see real improvements. Here are some pics.

Looks great, good job!

Especially thank you for taking pics for the membership too, many folks, myself included, sometimes overlook doing this important visual for the community!

Anyone find coilovers or lowering springs that will fit the 2016-2017 versions of the QX50? I would love to improve the handling of my QX50. I love everything else about my car (and it's paid for too!). I've had trouble locating anything that will work. I know they raised the QX50 1 inch taller over the previous 2008-2015 models, but I'd love to drop it down a little.
