Any 95-98's out there experienced a leaking oem sunroof yet..??

What was the problem...??Im trying to decide whether i should buy a 98 with an oem sunroof OR buy a 98 without a sunroof and have one professionally installed..

ThanksRobert

In my S13 with OEM sunroof The dome light will fill with water if it rains REALLY hard.. But nothing else seems to get wet.

My S13 sunroof leaks. If I were you in your position, I'd skip the sunroof all together. Unless it's stupid expensive, I'm going to have mine removed.

I park my S13 in the garage because the rear hatch leaks by the spoiler. I would trust the sunroof to keep my dry in a downpoor. I had to replace the glass assymbly in my maxima because nissan doesn't sell just the weather stripping, it is a 97 too.

my roof rusted out alittle bit and leaked like crazy due to a kink in the drainage hose. the kink is taken out and rust is gone, replaced with bondo. no leaks yet. skip the sunroof theres no need

If it does leak just buy the new rubber seal from nissan and install it yourself. A factory sunroof is better anyday of the week than an aftermarket one. If you are really into autoX or drifting I wouldn't recommend the sun roof because one they are heavy and two it weakens the structural integrity of the unibody. If I had it to do all over again I would have got an s14 with out the sun roof.
