I've noticed that a lot of trucks have bent or broken needles/pointers for their mph!! Does any one know who or where they sell them?

If you can get it at the dealership I would imagine a speedometer repair shop would have them.

I got one from a junk yard, actually picked up 2 that were in better shape than mine. Just remember when you pull off the old one the peg will drop so when you put it on it will not be accurate. depending one which one is needed this is what I did. My speedo went bent. I got a buddy to pace me at 55 mph read tach and then removed speedo pointer. We removed the plastic cover got in top gear at 55 according to tach remove and popped on speedo pointer. Took 2 folks one driving one doing the work. On mine the speedo has a stop peg and when removing the pointer it moved so just putting it on at rest had speedo way off. if tach is off you need to find what RPM a working one just like yours is pulling at say 55 get to 55 and put tach needle on at the right position. Hope that makes sense, you have to know what speed and rpm is at a set speed get to that speed and put needle on at that speed and or rpm reading to be accurate.

What I do is download an app off of android market that can detect speed using gps!! I put the phone on my lap or on the cluster gauge and set the needle to what ever speed it reads!! After that I keep driving making sure the phone and the speedometer are both the same!!

While you got the cluster out grab spare bulbs from the back, I did so on mine as the lights worked but were dim. I found my old ones were hazy and brown replaced with better looking ones and it is much brighter now.
