why would you want one . the ammount of power it takes to turn the water pump is miniscule at best not worth the effort to change unless u just wanna be different.

I thought about the same thing....It would clean the top of the engine up, given you have a wire tuck as well.

Yes you can do it....You could make your own, just attach a small motor to the water pump...Obviously a motor that turns at the right speed.

im interested in this too, but for a different reason, me and my uncle have a 76 camaro and have an electric water pump on that so when we are down the track we can leave the fans and the water pump on while the cars off and cool the coolant as much as we can before our next run, it would be nice to do this with my ka. i might be mistakin but the sr pump looks a lot like the ka pump so im wondering if it might fit, im not sure as ive only seen pics and well pics can lie

It's nice to see the IQ level in the S-chassis forums is as high as it was when I used to frequent it... Guess the "grammar nazis" were defeated by the allies of ignorance?

Now that you've made it clear that you have a need/want for an electric water pump for the KA, I'm sure someone is out there working hard so they can take your money for it. Seriously, should see one pop up i na few months or so. If not, b**** about it till it happens.

You going to not run power steering? Otherwise the whole idea with one less belt is pointless huh?

you can buy that pump sepretly i wanna say its around 179. but dont qoute me on that check out summit but there are better pumps to be had. all you have to do is make a mount for it and splice it into the lower radiator hose. and wire it up to turn on when you turn the car on or either to a switch then you can let it run for a little bit after you turn the car off to help cool it on track days.

i have the meziere kit for sr20 and it looks like the pump itself is pretty universal.get a block off plate made for your ka and you're all set!

im running a electric water pump on my rb26 and loving it, hope you rfigure your hopes out, a electric pump is not gonna help you compared to a turbo kit or a supercharger, think of something custom, not a electric water pump. everyone has seen thoes in summit or jegs mags!
