My name is Matthew Duren. I work at a shop located in Vicksburg, Mississippi. A couple of months ago we built an Alpine TME-580 screen in my dash. We then fiberglassed and painted it (sent it to a great local shop). The screen is located where the CD player used to be and the CD player went where the ac was. We simply moved the A/C down under the steering column. The whole install process was simple after the fiberglass install was done. Everything from the shift plate to the ac plate was painted. I have been talking with my boss to see if we can offer some deals to NICO members since I own a 240sx. We would like to do the fiberglass work and save the members the money. I am simply gaugin interest. I will be happy to put up the pictures if interest is good. Please reply with questions or comments. By the way, we are an authorized dealer so we are as legitimate as they come.

My only question: is that really a functional "engine start" button? hmm...

looks great. I've also been toying around with the PC in the car idea. My only issue is where to put the 15" monitor.

I already have the slim case machine built, wireless minikeyboard with integrated touchpad, power is all set, but the monitor is killing me. I can't use one of those 7" units because my eyes are too bad.

Yes that engine start button is functional. in fact its the only way to start the car. as for the shift plate paint you can get all three plates painted for about 80-100 dollars. the thing is is that we did all our fiberglass bondo sanding and priming so that price is for the spray only
