Any ideas what this "could be"?

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

The little story..

Went out in a 2015 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid 365bhp as the front seat passenger, could not drive for insurance, bla bla reasons. The car had been sat for maybe 4 to 6 months ish in the garage. We traveled about 5 or 10 miles, city ring road, and in town. To the most part the car seemed to drive as it should eco mode, normal mode, sport mode, manual the whole list, following traffic 35 to 45 mph and even flooring it up to about 70 to 80 mph once or twice. It seemed to act as it should. But, there was one little part of the trip that we had to slow down due to traffic to about 30 ish mph at a steady speed for about 1 mile or so, The only way I could describe the feeling as the passenger as similar to a feeling of a car beginning to run out of fuel, but it was not running out of fuel. It was like micro little surges and dying type feeling, like someone quickly dabbing their foot on and off the gas peddle. I ask the driver what that was, he was trying to sell me the idea, it was probably or maybe a combination of a bad part of the road and maybe a flat spot on the tires as it had been stood for so long. Ummm Anyone had this, or other suggestions or just maybe he was right with his idea. I thought would throw this out there for ideas or answers.. :gotme

Bad part of the road -- maybe. Flat-spotting in the tires wouldn't come and go. The transmission could cause that if maybe it wasn't downshifting cleanly. Hybrid system could also cause it if it was holding regen mode inappropriately. There aren't a whole lot of drivetrain bulletins for that model-year, so whatever it was, it isn't common enough to warrant a writeup.

Thanks for the reply, intersting, as I put the down payment for it now until I pay the rest of the cash next week. its now gonna be my problem, if there is a problem of course. I grabbed it, as its so unusual a 2015 with only 67000 miles and some service history. Its completely mint condition, except this problem, which I hope is not a problem. Lift the bonnet its like new, its been wrapped 3M foil, satin dark gray; anyway, 8 days and I will have to drive it about 140 miles, to get it reg in my name, as it will be on transit - plates. That will be a good time for me to get to really who I have, an angel or a monster, lol, but time will tell. As it came from Italy, it seems the user manual is in Italian, umm don’t speak that, So have to find one in English somewhere; about 3 weeks it’s going in problems or not, to the Infiniti garage, for full service, change timing belt, oil, inc gearbox, plugs and filters. Then I hope I will have a nice good car, I hope… :woot: P.S. regard the gear change, there were NO knocks, bangs, nothing, it was all very smooth, and he did push it quite hard a couple of times, the very best I could it tell, other that this 1 time happening as above, it ran perfectly. . SO maybe its the over run charge or something on the EV side. Hope it never comes back, electric stuff can be odd at times. Its a suck it and see situation :gotme

Yep, it's the Nico editor software doing that, not your system. It will change just about anything starting with tran-s. So I use hyphens, tran-sistor, tran-slate, tran-sfer, etc. Makes for a lot of proofreading, though. Wish they'd fix it.
