Ok my husband cleaned the car one day then when he picked me up from work I realized the message center was not working. I was able to hold a flashlight to the side of it and still see it telling me Brake Pads work and when I push the button telling me my mileage. Then a few days later I was playing the radio and then that light started coming on and off as it pleases. Same with the heater. And if u turn both on they are very dim. Any clues what the heck is going on?

Was any work done to the car where the dash was apart for any reason? Does the vehicle have an aftermarket alarm system or radio? .

There are two little bulbs inside the message center that eventually go out. You can get them from the dealer. There is a possibility that the dimmer switch is also going bad.

Your husband was cleaning? He probably hit the dimmer switch. You say the radio and heater lights are on and off sometime. See if the radio lights turn off when you turn off the headlights, then your dimmer knob is in the off position. Sometimes it's the simplest things. See if this works.

Most of the time the headlights are not on. It is when they are off that I see a problem. I am thinking there is a light sensor somewhere that is going out on me. I already checked the dimmer switch before lol..

Thanks for your thoughts
