well i ran a 13.80 @ 102 but my clutch was slipping and ran consistant high 13s until my clutch was really in bad shape at the track. all the times were really wacky. and that 13.8 was my first run of the night with a crappy start and 60ft. i have the slip in my car so i dont have all the numbers. and that run was on 11psi and lauched at 3k rpm. still not accurate due to the clutch. tomorrow, when the roads dry up, im gonna take a run with my new escort g-force computer and see what my 1/4 time is. im thinking the car should run mid to low 13s with 35 degree air temp plus cold air intake

Tires and clutch should be a good start ... to a good launch. But as I'm sure many will going fast(er) is nearly impossible to do on a low budget.

because the stock t25 starts to lose efficiency around 14-15 psi. I think the best way to get a good power gain on a smaller budget is going to be a turbo. I'm not talking about some crazy gt30r or anything, but you can pick up used t28's for around 400ish.

yeah, im not gonna boost past 13.5. 14.5 with some sort of tuning. what about pulleys, cams, any computer upgrades.

if you really wanted to get into the 12's you could gut your interior. weight reduction is the cheapest mod that works.

aside from that, a good clutch, tires, lightened flywheel will get you to maybe low-mid 13's and right there you've already spent a grand. its gonna be REAL hard to get into the 12's without getting rid of the t25.

you could always run a 50000 shot of NAWS as well

from what I've heard and a thread thats going on right now...the Greddy/Megan lightweight pulleys are more show than anything and you will see a very minimal gain. If you're going to do a pulley, the Unorthodox crank pulley is supposed to give a good gain for the buck.

turn the boost to 13psi or higher and thats all u should need, ive ran several 12.9's with this setup in a 2600lb s13, with street tires, add slicks and i could guarantee 12's unless u just cant drive

-93 Redtop SR20DET -ACT Street/Strip Clutch -SSA 28"x12"x4" FMIC -SSA 3" Cat-Back -Apexi SAFC II -300ZX MAFS -Blitz SS BOV -Megan Racing 3" Cat -Megan Racing Short Shifter -HKS Turbo Actuator -HKS DumpPipe -HKS Cold Pipe -3" Downpipe -MBC(14psi) -S14 VLSD the safc 2 is only used for the z32 mafs i didnt adjust any fuel settings yet, but hell with 12's, shoot for the 10's like me...haha

wow 12's on a budget huh...thats a tuff one

first id say a r200 vlsd for sure, 300 bucks or so, and will help tremedously on 60ft times and .5 or so off ET. use as little gas as possible, maybe 1/4 tank or so. aftermarket exaust mani and elbow should free up some more power for cheap and better spool. if that dont do it then u will have to swap the turbo, mafs, and injectors since they will all be pretty much maxed at 240-250 rwhp. and a piggyback to read and control the three.

...gt28r, z32 mafs, 550cc, and safcII, should be around a grand or alittle more and that should do it i think.
