Last night I got my car fired up and it was idle'ing ok without me pressing the gas. Now this morning it hardly idle's at all and mostly dies. If i set the timing all the way towards the firewall it sorta works but when I press the gas it revs high and stays there for a while until i shut it off. It's a SOHC to DOHC swap, and I still have the single cam throttle cable on it because I havnt gotton a twin cam one yet. Also, it will run on starter fluid if you spray it down there. So I'm thinking one of my injectors might be ghey. Anyone have any ideas? Just throw em out I'll try em all. Just wanna get my car runnin. Thanks.

Also, are the injectors supposed to pulse when I hook them up to a test light? I get power to the injectors even with my key off. Looks wierd to me. My old mazda used to pulse with the test light. Anyone have ideas? Let me know.

You say the injectors are getting power with the car off? Wierd.

It could be your battery causing your idle problems though. I've had a bad battery cause my CBR to not rev past 6000 without dying but idle well and my 240 not idle but rev fine. Try hooking up a battery that is known to be good. If that solves your idle problems start trying to figure out why your injectors are getting power all the time. Of course don't leave the battery connected for long periods of time with them sucking off of it.

At least it's an easy one to check.
