First off I own a 1990 KA SOHC. I know I want to go turbo but I gotta get my rice and bling on :P
So anyways I was thinking I would get the engine rebuilt using that HP racing rebuild kit. Or mayb eill peice together my own through the shop either way its gonna be a good rebuild kit made for boost. The man at the shop said the labor is around 700 bucks to 1k for a performance rebuild. Im like ok ok sounds decent. ANyways they are the only ones who do a damn good job of rebuilding here in DES MOINES IA haha. THey even have a dyno machine its crazy.
Do you guys think It would be cheaper for me to get the kit parts from the rebuilder itself? What was some of the cost in a good rebuild for you guys? Parts wise not labor.
Other than that I was thinking about repainting my car and doing a s15 conversion. Paint will be a upgraded charcoal? Do any of you guys know of a paint that is like the factory charcoal but ahs more pizzaz to it? Like a sparkle or something that adds bang for the look?
Rims, brakes, suspension completely redone.
Any place that gives good prices for KA24E parts such as clutches, aftermarket parts basically, for a good price.
I should probably buy the engine kit but im going to call the rebuild place and ask them what they reccomend I should do with the engine internals.
ALso does anyone know if there are ARP studs and bolts for like the L4 engine that will work on the 240sx KA SOHC? I need to protect the head and rods against that boost
I make about 1 k a month after some serious bills lol damn debt. So hopefully I can do one modification for each thing listed a month. hahaha
Thanks again for any replies bad or good. Dont hate on my rice either its sticky and delicious.
