Spoken by a guy who obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. I wish I knew how my friend does it, but he's getting really friggin good.

just remember this theory.

If the price goes up, get rid of it. Once youve gotten rid of the stock, its price will soar.

If you hold on to it as it inclines, it will fall by 75% in the next day.

If you're talking about "day trading", I'd be a bit careful with that. Some people make money, but many others lose more than they can really afford.

If you've got the money to gamble with, I say go for it. If you are truly trying to invest in the long term, I'd talk to an advisor.

Im not talking about day trading im talking about short term yield investments that would last 6 months to a year if not more. Im just trying to learn how trading is supposed to work. This is what I have done so far. I started an account with an internet trading company, and I am looking to but maybe 5 to 10 shares of some stock. Basically my dad at one time was a stock broker but vie never under stood how stocks work so what he wanted me to do is start up an account and invest small sums of money into different companies so that I will learn the importance of trading, and how to trade. Thanks for all of the help so far. I think what I am going to do is pick like 10 stocks and watch them for a few days to see what they do. Any other advice is greatly appreciated.
