Hello,I have a 1986 720 2.4L. The brakes on the front wheels locked and would not release so i replaced the master cylinder which didn't help. I then replaced the booster which made a little difference but still not drivable. I then replaced the two front calipers but this also did not fix the problem. I don't know what else the problem could be. anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Do the wheels rotate OK when the calipers are removed? My only guess would be that it's not the brakes, but seized or incorrectly torqued front wheel bearings...

when did this start to happen?

was the car sitting for awhile or were you just driving it when it did this?

Sounds like the rod in the back of the m/c is too long. I don't know how hard the bolts on the m/c are to get to, but when it locks down loosen the bolts on the m/c. If it unlocks then the rod is misadjusted.

It sounds like you have a bad case of brake hose, that has deteriorated from inside that had become like a one way check valve. I hope this helps. Keep us posted.

^ thats my first guess(assuming they weren't replaced with the calipers)

second would be the maladjusted MC.
