Are there any tracking devices that work on an only an emergency basis? That's very cheap to buy and to have the service for? The reason i'm asking is because another person knocked on my door and asked if my 240 was for sale. I'm afraid that one day, i'm gonna step outside, and it's just gonna be gone.

Seriously, you look through peoples sigs, and they have things like "R.I.P. - STOLEN". And their cars are REALLY nice!

Well that’s what happens when you have a car that is at its peak of popularity. My .02 cents is get a gun, bat, German Shepard and a bum randomly wakes up at night to use the bathroom. Don’t you have a garage or something?

Not too bad?!

I'd pay maybe $100 for the set up and maybe not even $40 a year.

I'm not talking about 24/7 surveillance, just for that 'off-chance' that I walk outside, and my vert' isn't there anymore. I just call a number, activate the GPS, tell me where it is, and I go f*** people up.

I'm planning on a dog, but it's gonna be a golden retriever... not exactly a military attack dog, but I guess it'd be cute to go rollin' with him in the back with the top down.

As for the garage, like most americans, it's filled with crap. It's a two car garage, and it's filled with crap. Cleaning it is on my to-do list.

lowjack is 700 or 1000 depending on package... in response to what another poster suggested

but your car is stock, you probably don't need that. Look into ebay for some solution, I seen a few gps tracking but I don't know how reliable that'll be

Lo jack or here's another one...

A cell phone that you buy from somewhere like virgin mobile that has 20 minutes on it, set to vibrate, and charge the battery every few days or run a 12v charger to it, then when your car does get stolen, have the cops call the cell to find the car. bingo bango. In an uber cliche black box, ftw.

That seems like a very cheap but possibly very effective solution.
