u might get a better response in the car audio forum but i can tell u that i just recently got my little bro the kenwood mpv5025. i think thats the model number. im sure of the 5025 part tho. the deck plays mp3s and cycles thru 62 colors. got it for 147 shipped off of ebay and he payed 38 to get it installed at brandsmart. the deck only has two pre out but that should only matter if ur planning on building a system. hope this helps

Watch-out if you buy a Panasonic CQ-DP 383U its an Mp3 player that works good but after 3 starter motors in a row I found they have a bug in the Firmware they have loaded into the player for the initial power up.

I ended up running it straight from the battery ((NOT)) through the normal power wire under the dash from the existing radio.

It was a frustrating/expensive lesson and only when I got to the top software rep in Panasonic he agreed it sounded like a bug.

Cheers.

Alpine makes great cd players, not only can they play WMA format discs but also MP3 discs with file systems, easy access during play makes you a veritable dj while listening to your music. Also a nice little feature of Alpine Head Units is that they have a little button called MX or media exapnder which corrects for the loss of bass during mp3 compression. heres a link:http://www2.shopping.com/xGS-A...55890

you will mostly be able to play mp3's with any of the head units there.
