I was looking at a few indash's for my g50 and wanted to know if anybody had tried this already and had any luck, so any pictures would be great. thanks.

I traded mine to a friend for some gaming stuff. I was flying down the highway going to an off-campus class and realized that I almost never looked at the road the entire way there. [Face/Off is a great movie, what can I say?] It was irresponsible and distracting. There's a navigation add-on that would have been nice I suppose.

If I'm stuck in traffic, I now have my iPod mounted on the dash if I want to watch Fox News, CNN, MacBreak, or a music video.

Crutchfied currently has an Eclipse double-din (clean and integrated, no slide-out) DVD head unit for sale at $999.

1990 Q45 with Pioneer AVIC-D1.Used stock radio bracket. There is a small gap underneath that will need work in the future. This unit requires a separate dvd player which I don't have yet.My battery is disconnected at the moment so I can't turn it on.

My friend just put in a Jensen DVD flip out screen in his Crown Victoria. It looks to be single din.

I want a double with a way to hide the screen.

He says he paid 600 at Circuit City

That looks very nice! I'm seriously considering a Pioneer double-din for my Q - probably later this summer. I love the AVIC S1 portable, so they probably earned my buisness for the bigger one. You mentioned the gap under there.... is it something that could be fixed by moving the entire deck lower, or would that just create a gap at the top? One of my biggest concerns is keeping the look as "factory" as possible.

Thanks!

When I mounted my unit in to the factory mounting brackets, I found a small gap, maybe 1/8 inch, beneath, while the unit was flush with the top. I had intended to dremel the trim ring it came with to fill the gap, but when I placed the unit in the car, I realized it sits so low that unless you were sitting in the footwell, you can't see it at all. So I left it. I may come back and do it at some point, but it isn't bothering me now. I expect you'd find the same in a G50.
