any free mods I can do for now

I'm a new owner of a '97 240sx and I was wondering if there are any free or at least cheap mods to do for now. I plan on doing an engine swap in a year or so, but I just want some noise and aditional power for now. Will it help taking out the intake resonator or is there anything else that can be done.

well dont think it gives you any more hp but if you want some sound ya just take botom half on intake box off and wire the air filer up to the top

you could always go to advanced autos and get a little cheap intake filter

if you have a/c on your s14, you can unbolt the mechanical fan from it's pulley. (not really noticeable, but it does free up space when your'e changing belts, and your water pump will last longer). you'd be surprised how heavy the fan is. oh, and make sure your electrical fan works before you go ahead and take off the mechanical one.

On the prelude you can bypass the coolant going to the throttle body, but is there something similar to that on the 240?

you can trade your tail lights with me. zenki lights are lighter.if you want noise, take out your interior. that will make things noisy.

Go to Autozone spend 5-20 bucks on a cone air filter and cut the tube that pulls air in to the intake box and make it point towards the new air filter. it will give you a deep throaty sound on heavy acceleration.
