Any DIY for HID Installs?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I know some of you have installed HID kits on your low beams and fog lights most of which have been accessed through the wheel wells. Anyone picture demonstration how to remove and can it be done with out taking off the rims itself? I was also interested in putting 4300K high beams, but may not if the DRLs run off the high beams, if the bulbs are separate, then it can be done (don't want super bright HIDs in my DRL's which will blind many people during the day).

it is interesting that you have DRL and my does not. anyway, i see little to no use to install a HID for your high beam unless you drive on country road a lot. high beam HID will be very bright during night time but during day time, it will be very tame compare to sun light so you won't be blinding anyone. As for the lowbeam, the only way to access it is through the wheel well. it is very hard to do it with out taking the wheel out because you need to remove a plastic cover to get to the light.

Everyone has DRL but in some cars it may be switched off.
