I bought a blacktop swap from a buddy which was in his 89 s13.

Will everything essentially plug and play and work? Or do I need to change something because of the year difference (89 and 93 cars)

I was told I might have to do something with the Dash plug near the ECU but I haven't checked to make sure.

I think you may be talking about the difference between the sr and ka harnesses. I think US has female from dash to ecu and jdm has male. Just get two female plugs and make a straight across adapter with soldering and shrink tape.
