Guys I was wondering what the policy on work being done with outside OEM parts i.e. I take my car to the dealer, they get it priced for labor and parts, should they accept my OEM parts and do the labor. The reason I am asking is because I recently kissed a curb with my car and the dealer refuses to do the work to my car unless I buy parts directly from them. They quoted me almost $2k for parts I can get for about $1300.

they dont have too, its at their descrestion weather they want to do it or not. I have installed customer supplied parts many times. If they are factory parts we will still offer the same warranty as if the parts were bought from our dealer or not since factory parts have 12/12 warranty if they are dealer installed or not. Now we dont gaurantee anything on after market parts. It sounds to me there is something more to this cause I cant see why they would refuse to do it if they are NEW factory supplied parts.
