stunt, tell me how it goes and all. a price like that is a good bargain if only a few seals are bad or something. if you are going to buy from them please keep us posted on how everything goes. if i got a s14 motor that cheap with decent harness and transmission, then i dont care if the turbo or something is dead. the money saved should get upgraded turbo or something.

not all honda owners do that look for ever cheap part on the honda side everything is way over price on honda parts if you asked me and if i know some people on a honda forum doesnt mean i had a honda i just know them nothing wrong w/ that and stereo typing people just because they own a certain car is bad like if i had a honda doesnt mean every part on my car is cheap and i got a 240sx just cause doesnt mean im following a trend my 97 is just a hand my down i got from my bro like 2 or 3 yrs ago

cheap = cheap

inexpensive = possibly good at a good price....

maybe looking for something CHEAP is never the right way to go....just my 2 cents...

i read this on another board, and they arent as nice as some members here....but i found this a good interpretation on how a lot of us feel....

"the only part that bugs me is a lot of newbies like the car for all the wrong reasons. like Yo They be Hella Tight Doode, or Yo Sr is like Hella tight doode, or yo my silvia is like Hella tight doode. or my car is hella JDm doode, or you gotta truck motor or you gonna get the hella tight jdm silivia motor thats hella tight doode.

to poster, htread starter. yeah we might have an elite ideology and not welcome newbies very much is becasue but the ignorant cocky dumb****s we come across all the time at the drags or carshows. (trackevents seem to only attrack enthusits) to me owning a 240sx as an enthusist is like a being part of a secret society. this is were we get our attitude. it should be a privillage to own and drive a 240sx being a stock ka24e or whatever. most of us here or anyohter forum don't like to baby sit. sorry if the 240sx community comes off a bit harsh. i give you props for doing research and asking before getting into the 240sx world. try the search function here and the one over at freshalloy.com. if you asked this question over there already i'm sure you've gotten similar responses already.

the main crap is searchsearch search function. "

I think i'm going to buy a CRX and make it look like that Suzuki Escudo, maybe just chop the pipe at the header and cut the springs. all of the Civic people would be jockin!

i agree. i'm not new to racing, but i like the 240sx because of it's great potential and good aftermarket support. coming from a 97 maxima, it's hard to find an aftermarket. although things are currently on the upside, it's still hard to go fast with one of them. people are still struggling finding all motor 13's (i'm one of them). to me, what makes the 240sx such a great car is it's lightweight, near 50/50 balance, independent suspension, and the great SR20DET which has a reputation for handling a lot of power. i also wanted the rear wheel drive platform. i'm tired of FWD. i hope this car is everything i wanted in a car. hopefully in the future i will surprise some V8s on the track as well as have some fun carving backroads. :D we are part of an exclusive group just for the fact that this car is sorta hard to find in some areas and people who are interested in building it are interested in the areas that i mentioned above. i appreciate everyone's help in getting me started. thanks for any advice.
