As compared to what? And for that matter, what are the specs for the wheels you are looking at?
Like I said wheel weight and tire size will probably be the largest determining factor.
Lighter wheels have less rotational mass, and less unsprung weight. Which will help with not only acceleration, but deceleration and cornering as well.
A fried I race with dropped approximately 12 to 14 lbs from each wheel between a lighter weight wheel, and lighter tire, it may have been a shorter tire too, but I can't recall for sure. He said the difference was SIGNIFICANT.
