humm.. about the megan header, i have one with the downpipe , but theres one little problem. its that the air restriction hose (i think its was called egr) , wont reach the header. the metal hose that goes around your engine from your header, and into your intake manifold.. do i have to custom that..? or did i get jibbed..?adrians_s13 wrote:honestly, all the megans and obx headers I've seen have lasted! Just an fyi...
this is good. i was lookin at what your saying and, i think its only off by a few milimeters.. u think i can just take off my header and.., screw in the egr first and then slightly just screw back on the headers..hoping it wont bend the egr pipe..?? well i wanna do it that way, more easier then un plugging all my vacum hoses... what you guys think..??TDS wrote:Here's what i did, i disconnected the assembly from the egr side, behind the intake mani and connected the pipe to the header first. Then I reconnected the egr side. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it ended up being easier than struggling with the header part. Or maybe try loosening the pipe from the egr side to see if it gives you a little more flex to reach the header bung.
OK..! TDS i think imma go your way, cuss i just got done with my way didnt work..!.. what a noobie i am.. well as you already no not really good with this car, and about the megan header.. is it gonna hurt me later on if, i dont do something about the check engine light..?? seems like im running rich. is it suppose to be louder and miss fire alot..?? well need help on that. i must figures this out, on how to plug this egr hose in to the headers, TDS imma try ur way tomarrow thankx .TDS wrote:I think i tried that too and it didnt work for me but its worth a shot if its only off by a little.
As for the check engine light, pull out your ecu and run it on diagnostic mode to see what code it brings up. It will help if you have the chilton's or factory service manual so you can match the code to the problem.
