Well I`m in the Orlando area for a couple weeks on business and was wondering if there people in the area with CA18DETs . I`m pulling a good bit of overtime while I`m down here which I`m putting into buying a CA for my 240 . Just wondering if there were any in the area so I can get a little first hand look at one .

This should probably be in the regional forums, but I'll let it ride for now.

other than me?

there isnt any running ones.

C-Rad is out on the coast and Rich if he still has his is down in Kissemmee

other than that, ther are a few hack jobs that are "a work in progress" at best.

Yea , I know that , . I was wondering how long it would take time wise between the two , I looked on google maps and it doesn`t look that far but I`m not from here so I can`t judge time .

Do you feel like a road trip this weekend for a tank of fuel and a meal for some first-hand CA info ? And yes the majority of the people can`t drive , even where I`m from .

See, there is a 1yr limit to get a car driving reliably and you've exceeded that, so yours doesn't count. Sorry about that. Don't feel bad, neither does mine. I think I'm coming up on 2 years.

to be fair, I have no earthly idea where vero is in relation to orlando..... I though you were south toward west palm?

got pictures? I can tell you had it before you........ save yourself some time and get a whole new harness. all of the hack jobs locally are a mess they dont have a decent harness.

get yours rebuilt. I had mine rebuilt about 3 months after I swapped mine....... still running strong now and they increased the amps for 90 bucks.....

now that way things are, they would probably be even cheaper.

im struggling financially as it is, cant afford to throw money around right now. scored a KA alt from a friend and swapped the basket off the front. Done deal, worked like a charm.

well im down for a challenge it just needs a ka lower harness and some love and it will be alright i sorted the wiring issues out and like i said in that thread i played with the wiring for 8 hours and the harness was good it was just missing a lower one and that was it and believe me this car is not going to be a hack job car
