any body running a MBC on a RB25 need install help?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

like the topics say's does any one have a picture of it istalled or a diaphragm .i tired installing a hallman ball and srping type and after it reached 10 psi now my engine sounds really wierd (i took it off now i have no boost)i just want to see other install's so i could get an idea if i did it the right way ......thanks Danny

I run the same boost controller, the top part of the MBC, like the longer peice, where you adjust the boost, that line needs to go to a vac source, the bottom nipple, thats perpendicular with the top part goes to your wastegate nipple.

actually the bottom nipple goes to the vac source. the side nipple goes to the wastegate.

Boost enters through the bottom and is held there by a ballbearing and a spring insde the boost controller until the specified boost is reached. Then the boost compresses the spring and goes by the ball bearing out the other nipple into the wategate which opens now and regulates the boost

wow.. rb25 turbos are rather inexpensive to replace..

time to upgrade?

i wish i have the money to upgrade but in the mean while does any body know the dimensions for the stock wheel compressor or part #....thanks

Captain Obvious here, but I want to make sure I'm reading this correctly -- your inlet compressor is, well, GONE?

I think that would explain lack of boost..

i got a rb25 turbo i might sell if the price is right. never boosted over stock boost either
