Just wondering... I've seen a few turboed AC already, but haven't heard any with N2O...

I'm one of the guys here with a turboed AC. When I was at SFR this last time I looked at Tim and with a serious face told him " Hey dude since the car is ganna be here can you add a 75 or 50 shot system for me?" He looked at me with the craziest face and said dude are you serious ,Even though I wasn't, I said yeah. He said "HELL NO" because I know for a fact that it will Phuck your siht up. I started laughing and said dude I'm just phuckin with you. Now that I get my car back it will be for a fact 400HP and maybe a bit more. So I will not take the chance of adding N2O because the VQ head will not be able to take it and BOOM .

Then do it. Don't listen to wisdom of people who have been there, and done that. When you throw a rod, don't come crying to me.

The problem with this car is the tune, if you could tune it correctly I thing a 75 shot would be fine. Since the tuning options are very limited and expensive it's not really worth it

If you do throw a rod, make sure you get it on video!

BTW,..I know that 400HP was thrown around a couple of times but is hat the rating for the stock sengine, stock CVT, or both?

I'm not sure about a stock CVT, but Tim is messing around with my transmission.

That's engine horsepower. I'm not sure we got that high considering a 1:1 ration can't be hit with the CVT to dyno it, but this kit on the G35 or 350z makes about 120 more hp on 8psi with a tune. Which is what I was pushing at one point. That's 390 or so engine hp.

why not? since you said it wont hurt the motor in the other thread? lol
adidas2go wrote:A 35 shot isn't going to hurt your 2.5, neither will a 50 shot. A roughly good estimate is 1 "shot" = 1 hp. So a 35 shot is roughly an addition of 35 hp.

Your right, I said a 35 shot isn't going to hurt your motor. That is a true statement. However, there are a multiple components involved with running nitrous, that if not used completely correctly, can seriously f*ck up your motor.

In the old days when MPG and emmisions weren't a big deal factory tunes were very rich and you could get away with a 75-100 shot without much problems, plus fuel systems were overbuilt to allow 25%+ more power. Now with computers, MAF sensors and complex tunes and fueling systems along with higher compressions, thinner cylinder walls, and lean tunes you need a great tune to play with cheap power (N2O)..

Couldn't have said it better myself. Drunk at 3 AM though, I couldn't coordinate all that
