I got a pretty good deal (I hope) going on these from a local shop.20 X 8.5 . Pretty respectable wheel shop that quoted me, any word on the R1's, any experience with the brand? Thanks in advance!

LA,

I actually looked at the R-1's back in September last year, exactly the same model. But, at the time they didn't have an offset that would work.

Make sure you can get a +35 --> +45 if you're going with them. As for the brand, i've never used them before, so no opinion other than I like the wheels. Would have bought them if they were avaiable for my spec at the time.

You Wind thanks for the reply,I was curious about the offset, i belive they now come in a 35 offset. That should work with the coupe then right?.. I thought id ask here before making a definate deal with the shop, since they might say it will fit just to close a deal. thanks again!

Idk how any local shop can beat warehouse-mail prices... are you paying the shop with cash? Theres a lot of ebay warehouses you can call and see if they have the wheel and they will beat any price you can come up with IMHO

Well, personally i'm conservative onthe Offset, owrse case you could always get spacers if +45 isn't your taste (Which is the OEM offset).

There are a few guys on the forum that have +35 and haven't had any probelms so far, even with lowering. You might want to use the following offset calculator to determine the width of wheel you need to go with to ensure clearence. Get out your ruler to measure the changes.

or, google for other calculators.
