Hi everyone

I havent asked or post anything in a while, but I thought I wanna add something to my V, but cant really decide on what.

so can you all help me decide?

with a tight budget around $100~150

Which one would you add?

or anything else?

Currently, my V has

Blue LED lights on interior (rear and front and cupholder) PIAA Xeon Headlight bulbs

I appreciate it. thanks

I would start with Tanabe lowering springs ($190) or Tanabe strut bar ($100) from versaspeed. The strut bar will be available in July.Within your actual budget, I voted for visors.

The first mod I did on my V was lowering springs and the handling has improved a lot.

I'll definitely agree with the strut bar. It doesn't change the how the car looks, so that when you are on a less tight budget, you can do other things to make it look the way you want.

It does, however, provide quite a nice handling improvement, spoken from experience of having installed them in 3 prior vehicles.

i would go Tanabe lowering springs ($190). Because it gives u different look (more apropriate), even using the standard rims.

I don't see much point in changing out the headlight bulbs for something that blows out sooner and is expensive. The stock bulbs are plenty bright... surprised me actually. I'm a fan of function over form so here's some things I think you could do:

Lower it if the roads aren't crappy. It apparently improves handling.

Check out the Hella FF75 foglights. They look to be able to fit in the bottom grill and would look good if done right. I've checked them out and they're supposed to do a really good job at helping in crap weather. Most of the foglights that fit in the stock location aren't worth anything and are mainly for looks. I haven't been able to afford them yet as they are $80+shipping but you do get what you pay for.

Tint the windows. Helps a lot with heat and also makes the car look better.

Install rain visors. Cheap and doesn't look bad.

Besides that, everything else is just visual or has so little benefit, the money isn't worth it (exhaust, cai, etc). I'm not wasting my money on that crap. It's fine if other people like it but I just find bodykits, exhausts, cai, etc pointless. I would like to distinguish my car but I think I could find better and cheaper ways to do it.

i would also suggest saving and getting the tanabe lowering springs. i'm not a big fan of adding the little simple not useful add ons. get something that will make your ride look and perform better

I will suggest against any spoiler you could pick up on your current budget... (says the chick with the $150 spoiler/paperweight...)

wow thank you so much for all your advice. seems like lowering is the best way to go.

but I think I would add visor first, does anyone know where I can get it? I have been looking around, but cant seem to find the one I like.

About strut bar, so versaspeed will have it on stock soon?

about tanabe spring, is it easy to install? is it do-it-yourself ? or I need to take my V to service?

Thanks guys

Hmmm for the lowering kit usually in my country, they go to their favorite "car modification house" but if u have a complete tool its not so hard i guess. The hard thing is only opening the front spring.

no option for "do nothing". That would get my vote. Save your money for a rainy day.

I see you live in S.F. you can get your car lowered at Golden Auto Muffler and Brake Shop they do a lot of cars there and they do very good alignment work as well.

Their address is:

Golden Auto Muffler and Brake 7360 Mission Street S.F. CA.

(415) 543-8899

Good choice on the visors based on the $ You can do other stuff when the $$$ is saved.
