Hi. I would like to replace that piece of garbage fan shroud and fan blade that came on my engine. I hate plastic and I refuse to buy new parts from the dealer. Old parts from junk cars are not my choice. I replaced them twice, once before finding out motor mounts were bad and had to do it all over again. I also replaced the fan blade (used but no cracks and new fan clutch. The third set is on but when I rev the engine I can hear the blade hit the shroud...pop Hense the reason I asked for advice. Thanks, Matt

I second that ^

those fans are junk and just get into the way. Remove it and upgrade the radiator fan to a nicer one if that.

Just my opinion

why do you refuse to buy new parts from the dealer? I can understand if the local dealer is overpriced (many are and for the S-chassis cars there is a reason) but there are other options for a good dealer of oem parts.

A shround on your radiator is a good thing to have. If you're not willing to buy from the dealer, which in this case I'm gonna guess is pretty expensive just because it's a large part, you might want to check the classifieds for someone parting or swapping.

i'm thinking about taking my shroud off and fabricating an aluminum one thats similar but possibly longer(closer to an rx7) and more efficient, also thinking about a shroud on the other side funneling air into the radiator.
