Anxiously waiting on My M45

Just wanted to say hello to my fellow M owners. I just pulled the trigger on a 06 M45 Sport/Tech/Journey and will receive the shipment tonight. It’s liquid platinum with black interior. For now I’m just getting tint this week, and planning on doing the coolant bypass / factory air box mod. For those of you that have done this mod, can tell a big different in the throttle response. Next month’s mods are going to be wheel and drop. I’ll post some more pic’s tomorrow.

Well i got a good deal on it and it's got everything i wanted. Plus i'm still working on my g35 so tried to stay on a budget.

Please share some details.

My previous ride was a 500hp Subaru Legacy GT Wagon, and I miss that power. However, it was so freaking fast, that it was difficult to drive it hard on the streets/highways. It trapped at almost 120mph, which is not bad for a permanent AWD, aerodynamically challenged wagon.

i visited that same dealer in the chi' a couple of months ago before i got mine. they have some pretty good late model pre-owned rides. i wasnt pleased with the service so i went aound the corner to international car center and found what i was looking for. chicago has one of the biggest selections of m's pre=owned in the country. one could find a sweet deal up there. i paid 24k for an 06' blk/blk fully loaded rear entertainment package & chrome rims w/38,000mi last month.

Stillen exhaust and Ings lip kit. The rear lip didn't fit out of the box. You need to do the following. I wouldn't order it if I knew it before.

Since this thread is already jacked what exhaust do you have? Those tips look extra large. Also the chrome door moldings. I need those also. Thats a must.

Thats all it could pull with twins. Thats disappointing. You would think the torque #s would be better. Someone needs to do something to the heads. That needs to move more air and should pull better than that.

Where did you get the chrome door moldings? Like the wheels also. What kind?

Chrome door molding is from an ebay seller in Japan. You could find it easily by searching "FUGA M45". The wheels I bought it from VividRacing. It is 20s Advan T5.
