Yeah, years ago, I installed an $1100 stereo into my buddies' Acura. Seeing as how we didn't want it stolen and the fact that Honda/Acura's use sleeves to hold the stereo in, I took an extra step to secure the stereo. Basically I used a metal strap and screwed it to the side of the stereo using ons of the iso-din mount holes. Then the strap had another screw in it that I used to hook it into a hole within the metal frame in the dash. It wasn't actually screwed to the dash as we could not get a screwdriver or drill back there. It only hooked on, and would be easy to remove if you know it's there. But the theives could not see it. It worked great! The only problem was that they had stolen the whole car and had plenty of time to figure it out. So the car is found abandoned and sure enough the stereo is gone. The console was torn apart though. They basically peeled back the side of the console to try and figure out what was holding it in. It cost my friend an additional $400 to replace the part. But I sure was proud my contraption worked so effectively given the cost.
