What other than disabling my security will disabling my anti theft system do? Will my car start? My alarm sensitive, and goes off spontaneously.

Is it okay ?

It's not your alarm system being sensitive. One of the sensors is on the fritz. Most likely the hood position switch sensor. It's the most common one to fail. There's no vibration sensor like with an aftermarket system.

The only thing that will happen is that you won't have an alarm system anymore, though. No other adverse effects.

It just seems odd to me that it would be the hood sensor would go, considering i was just working on the car. And it was working fine...I was working on some wiring for the harness in the engine bay, my guess is that something is shorting the system. what do you think?

If the rubber boot is busted, then chances are it's bad. You can check it with a multimeter, as it's just a simple open/closed circuit.

Just unplug it for now to see if your problem continues.
The switch is open when the hood is down.
unplugged = open = hood down.
