Huffington Post wrote:"We finally found out our problem, we discovered a target that we can all agree on: it's these guys!" said Weiner, pointing to a poster of Click and Clack. "Thank God we solved this problem for the country!" The New York Congressman berated the Magliozzi brothers for their horrible Boston accents, and congratulated his GOP colleagues on putting an end to the brothers' general pollution of the airwaves.
"Cah Talk?" said Weiner. "It's a car! It's a car, ladies and gentlemen!"

...

"I'm so relieved that we had this emergency session, that we waived the rules of the House that required 72 hours [notice] so we finally get these guys off my radio," he said.

Humorous and effectual, but inellectually dishonest.

Granted, harmless - but not a great precedent.

Nice post. I heard that on MSNBC

That is typical of what the GOP worries about.
So far nothing about jobs or putting people back to work. Our own NJ A hole GOP governor killed the ARC tunnel projects that would have provided thousands of jobs for NY and NJ residents.
Christie and his GOP predecessors failed to make contributions to state workers pension funds while giving tax cuts to the wealthest NJ residents.
Now he is blaming the teachers.
All the GOP has on their agenda is screwing working class middle income people while giving tax cuts to the rich. That and abortion and guns.

They are quite a party.
Oh I forgot!

Some of them still don't believe President Obama was born in the United States.

I'm hoping Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman runs in 2012 :yesnod

There's no way all those bumper stickers fit on a G35.

You must drive a 1973 Ford LTD.

Totally agree, IB. Weiner is my favorite Dem congressman right now.

My only gripe is his unwavering support of Israel (no surprise considering his heritage), but I'm cool with him on most other issues. I like how he often fights for the morally correct stance.

I've seen him on C-SPAN a few times and he really knows how to ruffle feathers. Not your typical wussy Dem.

If you had been paying close attention to my previous posts it was a 1958 Ford that was my first and last Ford

I don't know about where you live but it is never a good idea to put any kind of bumper stickers on a vehicle.
Would any sane person have a NY Yankee bumper sticker on their G and drive up to Boston?
I don't think so
Well if I still had the Ford I might so i could collect the insurance on it.

Good points.

I hate bumper stickers (and, generally, the people who have them).

Occasionally we'll support some kind of charity fundraiser so I'll take or make their bumper sticker, stick it on a magnet like those door signs and put that on the car door or back hatch. I take it off when the fundraiser is over and save the magnet for the next time.

I do have a strip of a sticker on the back of the car, clear background with blue letters, that says "Proud parent - U. S. Air Force". It fits perfectly on the back bumper above the license plate.

That's as far as I'll go with bumper stickers.

Gosh I even hate dealer logos. Why should I give the dealer free advertising? I always remove them. I've tried to get a better price by saying I'd leave the advertising, they didnt buy it :D

I've only bought from a dealer twice, but both times the deal was clear: Remove the sticker or the deal is off.

I'm sorry, I went off-topic. Isaac and Howie were talking about their love for Weiner.

Leave it to The Onion to tell it like it is...... :rotfl

Sometimes I wonder if that's how the people on both sides of the aisle in Washington think.
