I bought a new antenna with the motor and everything. It worked at the place I bought it from, but when I hooked it up to my car It won't go up or down

Welcome to the club.

Presume the place "the place I bought it from" was the dealer? Take it back.

Check the trunk on your car while you are there. Bet there is no letter y.

Did you test the connector/wires that your antenna goes into using a meter? Are you using a stock 1989/1990 Bose radio?

Yes, The way the guy tested it before I bought it, was he use cables and touched the small connector and it went down and up. I am getting juice from one side of the small connector but not from the other. I'm not sure if I am suppose to get juice from both sides. I don't have the bose radio in anymore but I do have the same bose speakers

Then you will have to look at your aftermarket head unit's manual to see what kind of signal it outputs to the antenna.

You need to make sure the power antenna lead is properly connected to your head unit. What brand is your aftermarket stereo?

XPLOD SUCKS!!! Anyway can you hear any movement in the antenna? If you do it is possible that the mast just fell out of the motor assembly.
