I dont know about you, but my antenna has been broken for 3 years now and i still get awesome reception without it both with the stock cd player and with an aftermarket one.RQ wrote:Has anyone used an aftermarket universal antenna to replace the factory unit on a J30? someones a jokester. it works great with the radio, even 30 miles outside the city it is crystal clearRQ wrote: Well YEAH with a cd player I guess you would! How's it work with the radio?
No disrespect but if you can't afford the $40 shipped OEM new antenna then you can't afford the J30. I was in your shoes once when I had a 1991 Q45. I tried to use the antenna from a 1997 Q45 and it didn't look good.RQ wrote:Has anyone used an aftermarket universal antenna to replace the factory unit on a J30? I don't know if a product such as jig-a-loo is sold in the US

I managed to get my antenna working again smoothly with this product. I had tried WD-40 and Liquid Wrench before, but my antenna only worked for a short time.
That's what I'm doing and they want $65 for itPaul Wall wrote:Why not get one from a junkyard then?
