Before anybody flames, ive searched alreddy with no luck.

Im tired of my 5 foot tall antenna that comes up.. makes my car look like a spaceship... can i replace it with an ebay antenna? i want a shorter one so it looks better, reason being is that it kills the look on my car having a antenna lookin like im trynna contact somebody in africa lol.

so my question is, can i buy a short stubby antenna and replace it? my antenna is the one that comes up till the height of the empire state lol

PLEASE NO FLAMING!

thanks in advanced!

I've seen really similar ones at kragen and pep boys. What I thought about doing was shaving the antenna. And going to the junk yard and getting one of those little shark fins from a chevy and putting it on the roof either at the front or rear. I think it would look cleaner and make the car more symetrical. But I never listen to the radio so I'm just shaving mine.

s2000 OEM antenna works fine. Reception is good too. It's an M5 thread.

s2000 antenna is a direct bolt on.

My stock antenna went bad, so I replaced it with a new one from dealership. I don't know. I like original antenna.

Before you do that go to autozone find the medium sized rubber antenna they have for twenty bucks get that it is smaller than oem and it is a direct fit to one of those stubby ones plus it gets great reception try that first before you go out and buy the s2000 one either way to change from power to non power will require some mods to the wires im sure but mine when in pretty d*mn easy.
