Hi, I bought an antenna replacement kit on ebay for my '01 Qx4, and I've installed the antenna, and it works beautifully but the top piece of the antenna sticks up about 1.5 inches. Does anyone know how to get it all the way down without breaking anything? I didn't want to force it down. Thanks

spray some WD-40 or silicone lubricant then work the antennae.

I have a 2000 QX4. Where did you find the access to replace your antenna? I have a new antenna but can't find how to get to the old one to remove and install the new. I've looked under the hood and on the fire wall inside but do not see any access cover. I know I'm missing something but darned if I know what it is. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Well to replace the antenna all you need to do is remove the little chrome nut then simply pull out the old antenna when the radio is on. You shouldn't need to access the motor to it unless the old cord has broken and you have to pull the piece out of there. I believe the access for that motor is from the wheel well, but I never needed to do that. Let me know if you have any more questions.

If the antenna sticks up after lubing chances are there is a piece of the plastic track stuck in the antenna housing. Remove the inner fender well and then remove the antenna. Take apart the side panel on the power antenna and remove any debris / broken plastic "track" from the antenna. This should solve your problem.
