Alright the stock antenna is huge! Is there any mods for the antenna that anyone has done? to make it shorter or a replacement?

is yours motorized?

I like short antenna, I plan on making my 240sx to have no external antenna and wire one at the top of the windshield.

Or I had the thought of mounting an am/fm/xm tiny shark antenna on the roof rear center.

Rip out the stock one and fiberglass that hole up! then duct tape the stock antenna to the inside of the fender and keep it wired up, but remove the motor so it is fully extended in the fender and doesn't move. Now you car acts like a receiver! Works great! and makes everything CLEAN!

reception is equal to the oe antenna.

i was having the same problem with the threads being to short. so all i did was trim down the black base with a grinder until it fit.

it took a little bit to figure it out and with my impatience i messed it up and ruined the base so i had to glue it on to the car lol

crappy cell picture but it gets the idea across i think

i love the way my antenna looks.. too bad it's in storage and can't take a pic of it..

basicly it's a OEM antenna modified in a way that it stays about 3 inches out.

i have no idea how this was done, cuz i bought the car from Japan.

antenna reception is affected by meaby 15% ... but nothing a signal booster can't fix

i have a s2000 antenna from mangowalk dealer on ebay, had to make my own stud, thats all. reception is prolly at 75% from stock. i got rid of my power antenna and bought a base for a nonpower antenna.

Dual or single "frenched" antennas might actually look good on a 240 but I haven't seen any pics of those and they do require a lot of fabrication. The classic rodders do that mod all the time. They are the ones that are cupped into the fender.

I have an S200 antenna on my car as well. I got it from an ebay dealer also. It comes with the base needed to secure it to the quater panel.

I don't even listen to the radio anymore, hate the commercials, hate ads on my browser so I have the adblock plus on my firefox. still using CDs however :/ should get a head unit that has a SD card slot or USB. I currently have one of those flexible amplified antennas from auto zone. All in all I just was rid of my antenna all together and shave it.
