antenna mast replacement Y33

1997 q45. Bought a new antenna mast on ebay- looks right. The retaining nut on the car looks like there is a special tool for it, but I can turn it with the tip of a precise pair of of needle nose pliers, though it does not seem to be threading off. Is it pressed on?

I Just wanted to ask somebody who has already done it if there are any tricks or things to watch out for.

I've replaced power antenna masts in the past but this one seems like it ma

what you can do is take some channel-locks to it with either a towel around it or wrap it in electrical tape... There might be a special tool but i've done that without scratching the finish.
