Antenna Base Removal

Is it possible to remove the base for the Antenna?

Hello fellow Rogue owners!

I'm a the new owner of a 2011 Nissan Rogue. I love everything about the car, however the antenna couldn't be in a more inconvenient spot for me. I just got a new kayak, and since my Rogue has no bars, I had to buy an inflatable kayak rack. Guess what's directly in the way? The antenna! I already screwed off the actual antenna, but the base is still in the way. Any advice? Please don't tell me it's not removable
