The antena on my 240sx convertible does not go up, is there a wire besides the actual connection?

Power antennas have 3 wires going to them that make them work:

GroundConstant 12VPower Ant signal from the radio. So this wire will test 12 volts when the radio is on.

Does the antenna motor make any noise when the antenna should be going up?

I have never heard anything from the antena. Sometimes when i have the radio playing it loses signal and sounds messed up. Is there a other wire that i might not have connected from the radio besides the big connection?

Now it sounds like you may have installed a radio into it? You failed to mention that in your original post.

What exactly have you installed? Is it a aftermarket radio, OEM radio, did the power antenna ever work etc.?

I also had a broken power antenna at one point also. Did a little research and the most of the problems are broken masts inside of the assembly. Replaced the mast with an Auto Zone one after the one I got from ebay didn't fit. Opened up the assembly and took out the broken bits out and now it goes up and down every time.

I installed a aftermarket pioneer cd player. I have never seen the antena work on it since i got the car with no radio in it.

The blue wire off the Pioneer needs to go to the blue wire on your Nissan plug-and-play harness. If your factory radio plug is cut off and you didn't use a plug-and-play harness, then you want to wire that blue Pioneer wire to the OEM black/red wire.

The blue wire would be the remote from the radio?
