Well I finally got my manifold and greddy turbo extension on. After I thought I had everything on I realized I had an exhaust leak at the head and had to do some mods to get the manifold to fit. First off, if I ever take my turbo off again I am buying the stainless lines kit and getting rid of those stock lines. Well I finally found the reason my manifold wouldnt fit was because of a casting on the head was keeping the manifold from seating correctly. There are a few spots on the head that stick out and are threaded however do nothing. Well after starting to cut one with a hacksaw I eventually ended up using a chissle to remove the nipple all together. Overall, the ssautochrome manifold sold on ebay will fit but the head will have to be shaved a little bit.

believe it or not, the issue you describe will only affect certain (production) WEEKS of SR20 heads.

This was an issue HKS had with their SR20 headers when they first released for the FWD SRs. Who knows how many will actually have a fitment issue? Could be 100, could be 5000...

Mine had it. So did at least 1 other person around me. I had to cut but it wasn't that big of a deal. My turbo extension didn't clear my transmission. I've got the Manifold and the extension both from SSAutochrome I'll let you guys know. Hopefully this weekend!

I'VE GOT a redtop and mine needed to be shaved, but my friend has a black from a 180 (just like the redtop) and his fits.... go figure....

Does anyone have a number to contact them? I sent two emails already and no response from them. I bought a turbo mani for my s13 and the fitment quality is ****! #4 runner hits the block and the flange is warped beyond repair.

Very unhappy with this product.

Gladius: they never gave me a number, but they have the WORST customer service, but so would you if you made their parts. and for 'thes14project' yes i am happy, but you can tell that it was only $150. and my friend with the blacktop that didn't have to shave the head, he had to shave the transmission (was using stock exhaust outlet). ha!

it is cheap, and you get what you pay for. I own several components purchased from them and have been happy with all of them. The quality of manufacture has been top notch.

The only fitment issue I ever had was the EGR port on my Gen 1 FWD header didn't mate so I had to shorten the EGR tube. I'm told this has been fixed in the Gen 2. Half the name brand headers for $400+ still have the same problem.

I will concede I have never tried to call their customer support line. I've never felt it necessary. Although I do reason that with their prices non-product services are slim.
